  • A 6-session research-based and practical parenting course. Course is approximately 9 hours. These sessions are taken from a live class of an eclectic group of typical moms. Techniques are geared towards and effective with the typical child as well as the “difficult” child or the child diagnosed with various diagnosis like ASD, ADHD, NVLD, Language impairment, LD, or ODD. Therapists, educators, and service providers have a tremendous liability. We are limited in areas of assessment, treatment, generality of skills, and maintenance of newly acquired behaviors.
  • Parents are the missing link! Parents can fill out data to improve the accuracy of assessment, and can provide valuable input in creating workable treatment goals and plans. Parents are an integral asset when it comes to having the child maintain and generalize skills. We need to tap into our most valuable asset, the parents of the children that we are working with. Because of that, I have created Focus & Connect, an advanced parent training course whose aim is to help fill the void and provide practitioners with the tools necessary to maximize parental involvement and aid clients' progress.

Mindy Rosenthal is director of Student Services at Ilan High School. Her private practice, Behavior Educational Consulting, specializes in the remediation of social skill deficits in children, adolescents and adults with ASD and non-verbal learning disabilities. She presents and consults nationally and internationally, on social skills, executive function, and behavioral programs.
